It’s been a terrific summer, mostly fun and relaxing.
The highlights were:
Watching the World Cup
Visiting parks and beaches, and playing with friends.
Preparing food.
Soccer and swimming classes.
Emma’s two birthday parties (one family and one for friends) and my birthday.
Building Lego.
Our drive to California to visit Ben’s Grandpa at the Veteran’s home in Yountville, California. On the way there, we stopped at the Portland Children’s Museum and the Crescent City to see the Redwoods.
Big Tree.
Fern Valley.
On the way home, we stopped in Jefferson, Oregon. Ben’s Great-Great-Great-Great-Great-Great Grandpa founded the town. The house he lived in is still standing and is being used as a library. The town is raising money to move the library to another location, and then they hope to move their museum to the Jacob Conser House.
