June & July 4th

 

June was about ….

1) Emma’s very cute dance recital

 

2) Her last day of preschool. The teacher made a memory book for all of the children.

3) Father’s Day.  I made a plum cobbler and Emma gave Ben a note about her favorite things about her papa and a rock painted like a lady bug (“Dad’s rock.”)

4) Ben’s birthday.  I made cheesecake and took him to a movie.  My new niece was also born on Ben’s birthday!

5) Emma started swimming lessons.

6) Playing in the house.  Emma writing her name with Playstix, playing in the tunnel, building Lego, and painting rods and cones of the human eye, inspired by the Science Guy.

7) On the 4th we went to a pancake breakfast and ceremony at the church, then we met with James and Brooke on Camano Island. Her grandma has a cabin there and invited us to go.  The beach is so quiet and it’s a great place for the kids to explore.  Then we headed back to our hometown to watch the fireworks.  It was a great day!
